The Texas Rangers are investigating a weekend officer-involved shooting in Livingston. The incident occurred at about 6:3o on Saturday evening. According to a statement from the Texas Rangers, Livingston Police Department officers fell in pursuit of a stolen motorcycle and the chase ended a short time later when the suspect crashed and then fled on foot through a residential neighborhood. The statement said officers used a tazer on the man, but it had no effect. The report went on to say that the suspect pulled a .40 caliber handgun from his boot and he was then shot by officers. At last word the man was in critical condition in a Conroe hospital. His name has not yet been released, nor the names of the officers involved.
