A pursuit of a stolen motorcycle began in Jasper County and ended in Liberty County with the rider arrested after the motorcycle ran out of fuel. According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, a deputy tried to stop the motorcyclist at midnight Saturday morning, but he fled and continued through Hardin County and then into Liberty County. The rider was identified as Hunter Douglas Martin, 29, of Willis, and the motorcycle had been stolen in Montgomery County. It's unknown why Martin was in Jasper County. Martin has been charged with Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
