A Tuesday pre-dawn raid northwest of Jasper has resulted in the discovery of drugs, a gun, and one arrest. Jasper County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said it happened at about 5:30 at a location known as "Brown Hill", which is off of Farm to Market Road 280o. Duncan said Jasper County deputies along with Jasper police officers and the U.S. Marshal's Service executed the warrant which followed an investigation, and he said the person arrested is a burglary suspect. The name of the suspect has not yet been released pending formal charges at arraignment.
