Jasper Police are investigating the theft of items at the High School Gymnasium. Word is that following the basketball game between the Jasper Bulldogs and Vidor Pirates on Friday evening, some of the members of the Vidor team returned to the locker room to find personal items had been taken from their clothes, bags and other gear. Officers said Tuesday that one of the owners of a cell phone used an app on their computer to locate the whereabouts of his phone. Police were alerted and reportedly went to two homes here in the Jasper area where the phone and other items were recovered. So far, no charges have been filed. However, officers say they have possibly identified two suspects. No other details are being released at this time.
