LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Police are investigating after a drive-by shooting took place in Lufkin on Wednesday.
Officers were called to a home near the intersection of Wilson and Culverhouse Streets at about 1:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting, according to a release from the Lufkin Police Department.
The crime scene team could be seen searching the front yard for bullet casings with a metal detector.
Neither the people in the house nor witnesses at the scene could say who might have been responsible, but police have said they believe this to be a targeted incident. The release says a gray, four-door Nissan sedan was involved.
