KJAS news partner KFDM in Beaumont is reporting that so far foul play is not suspected in the discovery of a body that was found on Saturday morning behind a closed gas station in the 1400 block of Interstate 10 near the intersection of Gulf Street. Officers said the remains of a man were found near a garbage can and trash dumpster behind the business at around 10:00 am. Police have not released the cause of the death or any other details. They also have not released the name of the victim pending formal notification of next of kin. Jefferson County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. has requested that an autopsy be performed.
