ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - A pedestrian was fatally struck by a train in the Alexandria area on April 27.
The Alexandria Police Department said they were notified of the incident by Union Pacific Railroad around 10:30 a.m., which occurred about half a mile from Airbase Road.
The person’s name will not be released until their family is notified.
APD said an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
