ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - According to the Alexandria Police Department, a pedestrian was killed in the 500 block of MacArthur Drive on April 14 around 9:45 p.m. APD responded to a single-vehicle crash Sunday night and learned that the pedestrian, Jeannie Austin, 56, of Alexandria, was attempting to cross the northbound lane of MacArthur Drive when the crash happened. Toxicology tests were performed on the driver of the vehicle. This is currently an ongoing investigation.
