LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Longview Police Department has reported the death of a pedestrian. According to police, on Wednesday night at 8:40, they were called to the 900 block of Pine Tree Road. When they arrived, they found that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. An investigation revealed that a Ram pickup had been traveling northbound in the inside lane of Pine Tree, approaching E. Broadway Drive. A woman attempted to cross Pine Tree, walking westbound, and, according to police, did not yield the right of way to the Ram and was struck. She was taken to a local hospital and later died from her injuries. Her name has not been made public.
