A single vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler log truck overturned in Kirbyville interrupted traffic flow at the intersection of Hwy 96 and FM 363. The accident happened on Tuesday around 2:30 pm as the log truck was negotiating the turn off of Hwy 96 on to FM 363. During the turn, the truck overturned, causing the logs to spill on to the road. The truck and logs blocked both east and west lanes of traffic on FM 363 right before the intersection. Kirbyville Police Department and KVFD diverted traffic turning on and off FM 363 to the parking area at the corner of 96 and FM 363. Emergency Crews worked to clear the logs from the roadway and overturn the 18 wheeler. The driver of the truck was uninjured in the accident.
