KOGT in Orange is reporting that one person died in a three vehicle auto accident that occurred early Saturday morning on Highway 87/73 between Bridge City and the Rainbow Bridge. According to the report by Gary Stelly, the accident occurred around 5:00, when a Ford F-150 pick up truck, which was headed north, veered across the median area of the highway and struck a van. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. However, the name of the deceased and other information has not been released pending completion of an investigation into the incident and the notification of next of kin.
