One person was killed in a wreck on Tuesday night.
Lufkin police say that they received a call about a wreck that had happened at around 8:12 p.m. They say that the wreck was in the 1500 block of Tulane Drive.
Jessica Pebsworth, spolkesperson for the Lufkin Police Department, says driver was headed eastbound on Tulane in his Camaro when he lost control of his vehicle. He drifted across the road, overcorrected, and left the roadway, striking a tree in a residential yard. He was not wearing his seat belt and was partially ejected out of the passenger side of the car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Billy Ball. No one else was in the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
