Beaumont Police say a person was shot in the north end of that city early Monday evening. It happened at about 5:40 in the 4600 block of Carnegie Avenue, two blocks south of East Lucas Drive.
According to police the victim had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police are working to identify a suspect.
