One person was injured in a crash near Evadale on Monday afternoon. It happened at about 2:00 on Highway 96 near County Road 715.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark said a person driving a Chevrolet Suburban which was pulling a lowboy trailer entered the southbound lanes of Highway 96 from County Road 715 and was struck from behind by a Ford F-250 pickup truck, driven by John Sanders, 60, of Buna.
Sergeant Clark said a passenger in the Chevrolet Suburban was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with non-life-threatening injuries.
