LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Lake Charles Police Department is investigating a shooting in the area of Simmons and Opelousas Streets.
This afternoon, police cars and an ambulance were spotted at a convenience store on Opelousas Street.
While details are limited at this time, police confirmed one person was shot in the area, Lt. Brenda Treadway of LCPD said. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
