Details are not yet known, but KJAS News can confirm that one person was flown by medical helicopter after he suffered a gunshot wound in Jasper early Saturday evening.
It happened at about six o’clock at a house in the 900 block of Vine Street, located in southeast Jasper.
Initial reports from the scene say that it was believed to have been self-inflicted, but whether it was accidental or intentional is not yet known.
The person was flown from the scene to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment. There’s no word on the condition of the person.
Jasper Police are investigating the incident.
