An 0bama appointed federal judge has blocked the Ten Commandments from being displayed in Louisiana schools. The Louisiana state law mandating the display of the Ten Commandments in every public school classroom was to have gone into effect on January 1st, 2025. However, U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles in Baton Rouge ruled that the law is “unconstitutional” and “overtly religious”. Louisiana Attorney General Elizabeth Murrill said in a written statement, “We strongly disagree with the court’s decision and will immediately appeal.”
