NPSO searching for suspect involved in hit and run

410006795_673910868257756_1865301989439613608_n.jpgNATCHEZ, La. - Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s deputies are trying to identify a suspect and locate a car involved in the hit and run on Wednesday of the Dollar General in Natchez. Around 5:51 p.m., deputies arrived at the scene of the Dollar General after management reported someone hit the building with a car and fled the scene. An older model silver Jeep Liberty with no recognizable license plate struck the building and left a hole in the wall, according to NPSO.

The suspect immediately left the parking lot without reporting the incident and drove onto La. Hwy 119 traveling towards La. Hwy 494. Deputies are uncertain if the vehicle stayed in the Natchez area or traveled towards the Point Place or Bermuda areas. Investigation revealed two people were in the car. One of the passengers was spotted wearing a camouflage jacket. No spare tire was observed on rear tailgate/door of the Jeep.
