No injuries in two vehicle south of Kirbyville

Ironically, there were no injuries reported following a two-vehicle auto accident occurred south of Kirbyville. However, both vehicles were severely damaged or destroyed. A collision between two vehicles occurred on Wednesday evening, just after 9 pm, south of Kirbyville, leaving one car veering into the woods alongside Highway 96. First responders who arrived at the scene reported that both vehicles were traveling south on Hwy 96 when the driver of a small Toyota truck collided with a Toyota car. The impact caused the car to leave the road, ending up in the wooded area alongside to the highway. Kirbyville Fire Department and Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies blocked traffic on the right lane, diverting to the left and middle lanes and the Texas Department of Pubic Safety investigated the accident.
