NFS Has Restricted Access to Kisatchie Hills Wildlife Area Due to Fire — BDC archive

The National Forest Service has restricted entrance to Kisatchie Hills Wilderness area due to a wildfire that has been named the Backbone Fire. It is approximately 40 acres in size.

Due to the wildfire's proximity to Forest Service Road 339, the public is asked to please use caution when driving along this road as there are firefighters, equipment, and vehicles staging in this area.

Longleaf Vista and the Caroline Dormon Trail are NOT part of this closure area.
