| District Attorney Don Burkett announces that Christina Rivers pled guilty on November 12, 2018 to Negligent Homocide, in connection with the drowning death of her two-year-old son, Mason Rivers, on June 16, 2017. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 4, 2019, after which, Judge Stephen Beasley will impose the sentence. According to the toxicology reports, Christina Rivers tested positive for methamphetamines on the day the child drowned. Christina Rivers alleges that she was asleep at the time of the drowning. |
