NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Natchitoches police have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in an overnight shooting. The warrant charges X'Zavierre Charles, 28, with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property. Natchitoches police responded to a report of gunshots in the 1100 block of Berry Avenue just after 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Officers found a crime scene and collected evidence, according to a news release. No other details about the shooting were released. Charles is considered armed and dangerous so officers say no one should approach him. Instead, call the Police Department at 318-352-8101. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Det.
