A Natchitoches man has been arrested for illegal use of weapons and other charges on Wednesday afternoon.
An officer with the Natchitoches Police Department heard a gunshot at the J.W. Thomas Apartments around 2:15 p.m. The suspect was located and identified as Tedrick White, 21.
After officers set up a perimeter and a brief foot chase, White was arrested and charged with illegal use of weapons, resisting an officer and battery of a police officer for kicking an officer while being arrested.
White is at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, awaiting bond.
