Both the Jasper and Lake Rayburn Fire Departments responded late Thursday afternoon to multiple grass fires burning alongside Highway 96 North between Jasper and Recreational Road 255. One of the fires was near Roger’s Wrecking Yard and another was near Solley’s Liquor Store. All of the fires were quickly extinguished with no damage to any structures. It’s unknown what caused the fires.
