More Charges for Alexandria Man Arrested for Sexual Battery of Juvenile

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

On December 17, APD arrested William Ellington, 59, of Alexandria, on charges of felony sexual battery and felony indecent behavior with a juvenile. These charges stemmed from an investigation beginning on December 11, in which Ellington was alleged to have had sexual contact with a 9-year-old.

During their investigation, Detectives learned of a possible second victim. On December 18, Detectives established sufficient probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Ellington for the second victim, a 7-year-old. The warrant, for one count of felony indecent behavior with a juvenile, was served at the Rapides Parish Detention Center, where Ellington was still being held on $60,000 bond.
