The volunteers of the Tri-Community Fire Department were dispatched to a reported structure fire just south of Zion Hill and to the east of Highway 96, shortly before 7:00 on Monday morning. The firefighters from Magnolia Springs arrived at the scene to find the mobile home completely engulfed in flames, prompting them to immediately call for assistance from the Jasper Fire Department and it took the combined efforts of both departments to finally bring the fire under control. Firemen later said it appeared that no one had lived in the house for some time and that it was being used for storage. The home and a nearby vehicle were completely destroyed. However, no injuries resulted from the incident. What caused or sparked the fire is still unknown.
