The volunteers of the Jasper Fire Department were dispatched to County Road 239, just off of Highway 96, at Horton Hill shortly before 2:oo on Monday afternoon when it was reported that a vehicle was on fire and arrived to find the am Dodge completely engulfed in flames. The owner of truck, Allen Simon said he was about to turn into the driveway of his home when the truck caught fire. According to Simon, he had experienced trouble with the truck several times in the past. However, the specific cause of the fire is unknown. The truck was a complete loss. However, no injuries or damage to the home resulted from the incident.
