Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard says a man with methamphetamine went to jail on Sunday.
Havard said a deputy stopped Magdaleno Huerta who was riding an ATV on County Road 4213, also known as Indian Lake Road, and he noticed a bag underneath Huerta’s foot. Inside the bag was methamphetamine.
Huerta was arrested and taken to the Newton County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
