The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department says a man with methamphetamine was arrested outside of an elementary school. According to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, deputies found 50-year-old Joseph Parker, of Fred, on a bicycle outside of Fred Elementary School. Weatherford said they found a plastic bag containing meth and placed him under arrest. Parker appeared before Justice of the Peace Tina Self and he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, and his bond was set at $30,000.00.
