Kirbyville Police say a man who just got out of jail is back in jail after he threatened officers during the noon hour on Thursday. Police say the man, wearing a bulletproof vest and wielding a sword along with other weapons, began banging on the door and demanding to be let in. The name of the man has not yet been released pending formal charges at arraignment, which is expected to occur on Friday morning. Officers involved said the man had just been released from the Jasper County Jail following his arrest during an incident which occurred just over a week ago at a house in Kirbyville. Word is that officers will be asking that the suspect be charged with retaliation.
