Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department says a man named in arrest warrants for burglaries in the nearby Burr Ferry Community was captured on Thursday some 92o miles away in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Sheriff Sam Craft says Ricky Ashworth, 27, of Leesville, was confronted by police in the town next to the western shore of Lake Michigan after he was reportedly shirtless and causing a disturbance, throwing snowballs at people. Meanwhile, Craft says arrest warrants are still active for Nick Ashworth, who is also wanted for the same crimes in Burr Ferry. The sheriff said Ricky Ashworth is currently in the Sheboygan County Jail where he'll remain until he's extradited back to Vernon Parish.
