He fought the law and the law won. Jasper Police had their hands full late Tuesday morning when they responded to a report of a man stripping his clothes off outside of a nail shop next to Tractor Supply at Highways 190 and 96.
The first officer on scene reported that he had to taze the man which, apparently, had no effect, and then the fight was on. More officers arrived and they were able to wrestle him into custody.
Jasper Police Chief Gerald Hall later said that the man was high on some type of drug and officers plan to charge with him with public intoxication.
He was checked out at the scene by an ambulance crew and later taken to jail.
More information about the man is expected following arraignment before a judge.
