Robberies, stabbings, shootings, and murders; it’s now an almost daily way of life in the Golden Triangle and the latest crime occurred Friday evening on the parking lot of a Beaumont hotel. Police there say a man was shot in the back and leg shortly after 6:00 at the Candlewood Suites on Clearwater Court off of Interstate 10. Witnesses told police that the man and his wife had just returned from shopping when they were confronted by the suspect. Witnesses said the suspect held them at gunpoint, then shot the victim, and then fled the scene. There’s no word on the condition of the victim, and as of Sunday police had not yet made an arrest.
