LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Wednesday night. According to a release from the City of Lufkin PIO Jessica Pebsworth, the shooting call came in to the police department around 10:20 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of West Laurel Avenue, where they say a man had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The man reportedly told police he had been robbed and shot by a man who he knew but could not identify. He was flown to a hospital where the release said he was in stable condition Thursday morning.
