A Jasper County man was injured when the lawnmower he was riding was hit by car near Kirbyville on Thursday evening. It happened at about 8:30 on Farm to Market Road 1013 at County Road 404. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark says Kendell Cheatham, 43, of Magnolia Springs, was driving a riding mower and pulling a small lowboy trailer on the westbound lane. The trailer and mower were struck by a westbound Toyota Camry, driven by William Gore, 49, of Kirbyville. Cheatham in in very critical condition in a Beaumont hospital, while Gore and his passenger were not injured.
