Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard arrested a man at about 5:00 Wednesday evening. The man was named in a warrant for a parole violation.
Havard said he made a traffic stop on Farm to Market Road 1012 in the Jamestown Community and dispatchers advised him that the driver, Jonathan Scott Oldfield, was wanted by the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.
Oldfield was taken to the Newton County Jail.
