LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - A man who apparently tried to cross the street at improper location on Loop 281 in Longview was hit by a pickup and killed Tuesday night. Police responded to the 200 block of West Loop 281 around 9:14 p.m. It was determined a pickup was traveling eastbound and struck a man who was trying to cross the road. Police determined the man did not yield the right of way. The man was taken to a Longview hospital, where he died.
