The Texas Department of Public Safety says a man was injured in a Tuesday afternoon crash near Kirbyville. According to Sergeant Shana Clark, 79-year-old Ferrell Glenn, of the Call Community, was driving a 2019 Honda Accord eastbound on Farm to Market Road 82 near the Jasper/Newton County line. Sergeant Clark said Glenn tried to turn into a driveway, but he turned in front of a westbound 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Jason Telles, of Kirbyville, and occupied by a 15-year-old passenger. The front of the truck hit the passenger side of the car. Glenn was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment, while Telles and his passenger were not injured.
