SHREVEPORT, La. - The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has identified the man who was shot and killed in west Shreveport early Thursday. Deontrell D. Jackson, 19, was shot in the 6100 block of Tierra Drive, between Pines Road and Encina Drive, just after 3:20 a.m., according to Shreveport police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting remains under investigation. This is the 34th homicide in the city so far this year. It happened in the 71119 zip code.
