SHREVEPORT, La. — A man is hospitalized with a life-threatening injury after being shot inside a Shreveport grocery store late Sunday morning.
The shooting happened around 11:45 a.m. at R & W Consumers’ Grocery in the 5800 block of Broadway Avenue. Store employees told authorities a man they described as a regular customer was causing a disturbance inside the store.
According to employees, one worker fired a warning shot. The bullet struck the floor and ricocheted, hitting the customer in the stomach.
Police said the employee involved, who is related to the store’s owner, was taken in for questioning. The investigation is ongoing.
