LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - One man was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury after police say he slapped another man who drew a gun and shot him. Officers were called to a grocery store in Lufkin at about 1:15 p.m. on Sunday in response to a shooting, according to Lufkin Police Corporal James Cowan. He said two men got into a fight, one slapped the other, and then the man who had been hit pulled out a gun and fired four shots. At least one shot injured the other man, Cowan said, and he was taken to a hospital. The man who fired the shots has been arrested, Cowan said, and investigation is ongoing.
