Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says a man was arrested on six criminal charges during a Thursday evening warrant raid.
According to Burby, his deputies along with Jasper Police and the U.S. Marshal’s Service executed the warrants shortly before 8:00 in the 500 block of County Road 4089 in the Sandjack Community.
Burby said officers arrested Jacoby O’Neal Barnes, and he was arraigned Friday morning with his combined total bond set at $80,225.00 on the following charges:
- Evading Arrest Detention – Bond $7,500.00
- Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Bond $10,000.00
- Failure to Appear (original charge Sexual Assault of a Child – Bond $50,000.00
- Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info – Bond $7,500.00
- Theft of Property – Bond $5,000.00
- Rider not Secured by Safety Belt – Fine $225.00
