The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department says a man was arrested Tuesday on drug and weapon charges.
According to the report, a deputy stopped a car on Farm to Market Road 92 just south of Fred and detected the smell of marijuana. The report said the deputy found methamphetamine and two handguns.
Arrested was 22-year-old Dalton Crawford, of Fred, and the report said he was already named in warrants out of Hardin County for Burglary of a Building and Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine.
Crawford was taken to the Tyler County Jail and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
The report said a juvenile in the vehicle with Crawford was taken to a juvenile detention facility.
