The Polk County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a Coldspring man on drug and weapon charges after they say he was caught with methamphetamine and two guns in a Livingston motel room. Polk County Today is reporting that Polk County deputies and the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division went to the Economy Inn when they received a report that 43-year-old Fred William Robinson, III was in possession of drugs and weapons. The report said officers did indeed find the drugs and weapons and arrested Robinson, who was already a convicted felon and not allowed to possess firearms. Meanwhile, the report said that a second person Ericka Woodruff, was also involved in the case and was named in arrest warrants, but she wasn’t there when the raid occurred. At last word officers were searching for her. Robinson was taken to the Polk County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
