A Kirbyville man has gone to jail after the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department said he fired shots from a stolen shotgun which hit a house occupied by people. Fortunately, no one was hit by the gunfire. It happened shortly after 5:00 Thursday evening on County Road 451, north of Kirbyville.
The report said deputies arrested 38-year-old Jeremiah Beck, and they learned that the shotgun had been reported stolen in Angelina County.
Beck was charged with Deadly Conduct and Theft of a Firearm. At last word he remained in the Jasper County Jail.
