The Newton County Sheriff’s Department says a man was arrested late Saturday morning after he shot his neighbor’s dog on their property. It happened on Private Road 8057.
According to the report, deputies investigated the incident and then obtained an arrest warrant on Coby Wayne Ellis.
Ellis was taken to the Newton County Jail and charged with Cruelty to a Non-Livestock Animal.
