Jasper County deputies arrested a man after they responded to a report of a fight in progress. It happened shortly before 5:00 Wednesday afternoon on Farm to Market Road 2799 in the Bevilport Community.
According to the report, 48-year-old Jeremy Busby, of Kirbyville, was following a woman and acting aggressively toward her. The report said one of her family members drove by and saw what was happening, so they stopped and attempted to protect her.
The report said at that point Busby began fighting the person and pulled a knife on them.
Deputies arrived and placed Busby into custody and he was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
