A Lufkin man was arrested after leading law enforcement officers in a high-speed pursuit that began in Liberty County and ended in Polk County late Friday afternoon. Polk County Today is reporting that it began when a Liberty County deputy tried to stop 35-year-ol Jacob McCreary who was driving a Ford Focus. However, the report said McCreary instead fled from them, reaching speeds up to 110 miles-per-hour. It finally ended just north of Livingston after officers flattened the suspect’s tires with spike strips. McCreary now faces multiple charges in both Liberty and Polk County.
