Louisiana man under federal indictment for a Vidor bank robbery

A Federal Grand Jury has indicted a Louisiana man for a bank robbery in Orange County. It happened on July 18th at First State Bank in Vidor. The U.S. Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Texas says Grand Jurors have indicted 36-year-old Charleston Jamal Washington, a resident of Lafayette, on charges of Bank Robbery and Brandishing a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. Federal prosecutors say Washington assaulted and threatened the life of a clerk with the firearm during the robbery. If convicted, he faces up to life in federal prison.
