Daily News & More is reporting that a Louisiana log truck driver escaped without injury after his rig rolled over on Tuesday afternoon in Sabine County. It happened shortly after 3:00 on State Highway 87 about 2 miles south of Farm to Market Road 3315 in the Fairmount Community.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant David Hendrey, 45-year-old Gordy Freeney, of DeRidder, was driving northbound in a 1996 Peterbilt and carrying a load of logs.
Hendrey said Freeney told investigating troopers that he met a car coming at him in his lane, so he took evasive action which resulted in the truck and trailer overturning on the roadway.
